January 2010
Hi Folks,
Well the start of a new year. I wish a great New Year for all. I have some
new castings below.
And was able to do some RR stuff for myself. Building the town on
my layout (pictures on the
My Layout link) and finished the Bolder Valley shay conversion. Working on a new O scale
truck
coming soon, This one has not been done in O scale as far as I know.
The O scale casting for this month a house ruin. Who has not come on one of
these when they were
out exploring. All the is left is the basic foundation and some for
the wood floor and chimney. Check
out some of the junk left like old tin cans with the lid still on
them and the old stool that is half gone.
Anyway this could be an interesting addition to your layout.

Here is an extra detail I made cable reels with the cable
on them. They could go just about any where.

Here is the new HO casting this month a logging junk pile.
All sorts of goodies like a steam winch
and the boiler with the stack removed to show the boiler
tubes. Other misc junk laying around.
This would go good around a saw mill or logging repair shed.

Also in HO here is a tank on skids that can be used anywhere
in a logging operation, industrial
or a portable fueling station. Notice the hose hooked to the side
of the tank. The figure does not
come with the tank it is just to help you see the tank size.

Also in HO the same tank sand off the skids and add to a Wheel
Works truck frame and look what
you
get a unique tank truck. So that gives you some ideas of the possibilities.

Check out the
photos of the new town on the inside layout in the My
Layout link on the side bar.
I will update this page with photos of the layout as it progresses. Make
sure you scroll to the bottom
to see the new pictures.
Also I'm selling my FSM collection since since I'm committed to ON30 scale. I only have the
current jewel kits up on the site now and will add some of the older ones later. So you can check
those out at FMS for Sale
What's
on the WorkBench
The video is under production and it should be ready
soon. This is not going to be fancy so don't
expect a big Hollywood production. Remember it is free. This video will take you from priming to
finish product. I
have had some many requests to do this I guess I had better do it. This will be a
FREE
video on the web page.
I was able to finish my Bolder Valley shay conversion here are some
pictures. Dallas does some
great work creating these kits. I really weathered this one a
real rust bucket the way I like it. Also
in the pictures the front of the boiler is loose, it has been
fixed so you you don't need to email me
pointing that out.

I'm also going to start making people in O scale. These will
be of the 1930's era. Here is our first
figure still on his casting spur. Going to try and make some
different figures with casual poses
and figures that have never been on the market as eye catchers to
bring your layout alive.

I also went back and re did some of the existing O scale
castings. Like the barrel sets and the
large shelve casting. Check out the pictures below.

Here is the new shelve casting.

Order
change the payment type to USPS Money Order and you will receive an invoice
